Salary: | £17.25 per hour for all hours worked. You will also receive a full share of the tips which in previous years averaged about £250 per month, though this isn't guaranteed. Payment is made monthly directly into your bank, and tips are normally paid in cash. |

Job description: | The St Columba Hotel is located on a very beautiful island off the West Coast of Scotland. Our hotel has 27 bedrooms and a restaurant which serves up to 80 for dinner and many more at lunchtime. We are committed to serving freshly prepared, delicious food. Our certified organic garden produces much of our salad and vegetables; breads and baking are produced on the premises, and we buy fish and seafood directly from a local boat. The quality of our food is central to the hotel’s reputation and our kitchen is a busy place. We are looking for a Senior Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. The right candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and have good communication skills and attention to detail. We require a high standard of work and an excellent level of customer care from all our staff. This is an excellent opportunity to live and work in a beautiful and unique place. You will be expected to work a mixture of split and straight shifts, and will have two days off per week, as well as paid holidays. The hotel is seasonal and this position is available from the middle of April until the middle of November, (though this may be extended slightly).
