Job description:

The Burnside Hotel is a busy hotel on the south side of Glasgow, situated in Rutherglen, a short distance from the city centre.

We are looking for a talented Chef to join our team. We provide Match Day/Traing Catering, as well as catering for an arrayof functions and conferences.

Duties
As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.)
- Cook food items by grilling, frying, baking, or sautéing as instructed by the chef
- Ensure proper food storage and stock rotation
- Assist in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation

Skills
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following skills:
- Strong culinary knowledge and experience
- Proficiency in kitchen operations and food preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Willingness to assist in all areas of meal preparation and kitchen tasks
- Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant setting is preferred
