Job description:

The Park Hotel, Montrose is looking for an imaginative and enthusiastic Sous Chef with a minimum of two years experience at sous chef level in a busy hotel kitchen to join our team.

You will be a team player capable of working on your own initiative in all sections of the kitchen, level-headed, enthusiastic, take pride in producing good quality food, have a positive attitude and be willing to help train junior team members.

A variety of shifts are included and cover straight and split shifts, weekends and occasional breakfast cover.

Your main duties will be :

Preparation and cooking of meals.
Keeping the kitchen clean and working to a high standard of hygiene.
Portion and wastage control.
Essential admin duties.
Taking responsibility for the kitchen on the Head Chef’s days off.
Contributing to menu development.
