Sous Chef, The Whitehouse Restaurant, Argyll and the Islands

The Whitehouse restaurant in Lochaline was taken over by Chris and Agi in 2022. Since then it has gained an outstanding reputation for its cuisine. The kitchen serves locally sourced, often foraged, ingredients in a refined yet casual manner. Due to the growth of the business they're looking to add to their small team to strengthen for the busy oncoming season. The season runs from April to October.

This role would suit either a strong Chef de Partie looking for their next step, or a Sous Chef with a stable background looking to gain experience from this highly knowledgeable Head Chef.

Your duties would involve assisting with the preparation and service of all items on the 333 menu and occasionally running quieter services. The restaurant has strong connections to the local estates so you'd be hands on with some exceptional produce.

Due to the nature of the role it would be advantageous to have demonstrable fine dining experience, however some training will be provided.

The restaurant is in a beautiful location with a strong community surrounding it, so you'll be made to feel very welcomed by this small and supportive team.

You must have a strong understanding of current health and safety legislation and awareness of allergens.
