Sous Chef, Gloagburn Farm Shop, Perthshire

We have a vacancy for a Sous Chef to complete our well established brigade and support our head chef in the daily running of the kitchen and the management of a team of 14.

Gloagburn is a well established family run business on the outskirts of Perth consisting of a farm shop and busy 130 cover coffee shop. Our kitchen and bakery use fresh local produce to provide breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea service in the restaurant as well as an extensive range of baked goods, soups, ready meals and deli items for retail in the farm shop. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie ready to take the next step or a sous chef / head chef looking for a new challenge.

You will have a passion for food , be enthusiastic, have experience of planning and producing dishes from scratch using local, seasonal ingredients. You will have the ability to manage motivate and develop the team as well as a sound working knowledge of the legislation required for food production. This is a busy hands on position, producing good food to a consistently high standard for up to 500 covers a day in a fast paced kitchen.

This position is full time, working four or five days from seven 07:30am - 4:30pm.

No evening work required.

The annual salary offered is £32,000 to £35,000 depending on experience and is open to negotiation for the right person.

Due to our rural location your own transport is essential.
