Head Chef, The Adelphi Kitchen - Aberdeen, Grampian

The Adelphi Kitchen is the latest addition to local independent group of hostelries based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

We are looking to recruit a talented Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, have experience in a similar position, or be a strong Sous Chef ready for the next step, and hold a qualification in food safety.

He/she will have good organisational skills and the ability to control a budget and work with figures.

It is anticipated that he/she will have the ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions, as well as stay calm and overcome any food production challenges.

Day-to-day he/she will organise and manage the work of the kitchen staff, decide which tasks need to be done and share these among the team.

The successful candidate will be actively involved in the preparation and cooking of their menu.

Specifically, he/she will be expected to; plan menus monthly, make sure food is of the right quality and price, manage stock, order food from suppliers, control a budget and keeping accurate records, manage health and hygiene procedures, organise the staff duty rota and recruit, train and develop kitchen staff.
