Job description:

The Grant Arms Hotel is a busy family run hotel in the picturesque village of Monymusk. Aberdeen is 25 miles away and the closest town of Inverurie is 6 miles away. Ideal location for somebody who enjoys the outdoors as there is fishing, hill walking and cycle trails close by.

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our team.

The right candidate must have the ability to take and run any section in the kitchen. There is plenty of opportunity to contribute your own ideas to the menu and this is changed with the seasons, there is also a specials board.

You must be used to medium to high volume cooking but still remain calm and professional under pressure

You will be a team player and you will be in charge of the day-to-day running of the kitchen including stock control, rotas and health and hygiene.

Own transport is very much preferred as the buses to and from Monymusk are limited but this is not a requirement.

Uniform is not provided so you will require to be appropriately attired and punctual.

Qualifications preferred but not essential, but must hold at least a basic food hygiene certificate.
