Out and About 20th August 202

We are currently at 49 relief chefs out working in Scotland and North England. This is the highest since September 2020.

We are at 12 jobs confirmed for the week, so far ……….

Carlos Noriega new to relief is at Hotel Eilean Iarmain in Skye

Carrie-Ann Mckenzie and David Low are at Mhor 84 in Balquidder

Lorne Brown is back at The Calley Palace in Gatehouse of Fleet

Nadia Sergejeva is at The Winnock Hotel in Drymen

Anthony Howard will be finishing at Friars Carse to take up a permanent position in Edinburgh

Stuart Agnew is at The Ardfin Estate on the Isle of Jura

Dougie Gillies celebrates his birthday in Tobermory still working away at The Western Isles Hotel

Mark Shaw has been extended another couple of months at Altskeith Country House in Stirlingshire

Out and about Friday 13th August

We have 43 relief chefs out working in Scotland and North England with 19 jobs confirmed for the week so far 😊

We have had 21 adverts placed also this week and a few CV’s out a permanent placement and some interviews arranged.

We currently have 35 jobs still waiting to be filled, slowly they have been coming off this list but more have been registered.

We can only do what we can do and some of the chefs are not as well known to us as others.

Marc Taylor just finishing at Ednam House and is heading to the Cairngorms to visit some friends before another stint at The Cairngorm Hotel

Stuart MacColl is at The Sure Hotel / Dryfesdale Hotel in Lockerbie

Glyn Musker has been extended at The Clachan Grill in Ballater

Ross Hunter is at the Schloss Roxburghe Hotel in the Borders

Gary Tedfrod in in Carlilse at The Cumbrian Park Hotel

Carrie-Ann McKenzie new to CIS all excellent feed back from her 1^st job out with us from Pebbles Spa and is not fitting in really well at Mhor 84.

As I am writing this I have got another 2 adverts and relief jobs confirmed so I’ll cut it short and get on with placing chefs 😊

Out and about Friday 6th August

We currently have 47 relief chefs out working in Scotland and North England, this is the most we have had out this year 😊

We have 14 relief jobs confirmed so far for the week I’m hoping for another 4 or 5 today.

We are still happy to register new relief chefs or to see if you have any availability even if it’s a few days this may help out an establishment to get another fellow chef a couple of days off.

Tony Orr has returned to The Bridge Hotel in Buttermere for another 4 weeks.

Dale Paton and Anthony Howard are at The Friars Carse Hotel in Auldgirth.

Joe Wright is at Ednam House Hotel in Kelso.

Ste Flindall is working away in Fort William at Glen Nevis Holidays.

Martin Ross has now left Skye and is down in Dumfriesshire at The Selkirk Arms in Kirkcudbright, looking forward to some more fab photographs.

Glyn Council working odd days here and there at the Holiday Inn in Dumfries.

Robert McHugh worked his 1^st stint in Skye at the Duisdale Hotel and is now a little closer to home working at The Rowardennan Hotel.

Steve Lyall has headed upwards to the Boat Inn in Aboyne for 4 weeks.

Out and about 29th July

We have managed to maintain the amount of relief chefs out work at 39. We have managed to get 7 jobs confirmed.

Dribs and drabs of chefs becoming available some who are well known to us and some who are new.

If you are a chef who is well known to us and has availability, please get in touch even if it is just a few days it may be really helpful to give another chef a few days off.

I will be off Friday and Monday but Michael will be in 10am to 12 noon and 2pm to 4pm.

Here are a few we have out working

Gordon Murphy is at The Black Bull in Lowick and has been offered the permanent Head Chef job.

Marc Taylor finished at Nevis Bank Inn, he travelled to do a little wild camping and popped his head in at The Kinloch Lodge where he has worked on relief and then made his way down to Kelso to work at Ednam House.

Scott MacIntyre finished his stint at Kames Hotel and is now at Fishers Hotel in Pitlochry.

Glyn Musker is back on the circuit and is up in Ballater at The Clachan Grill with head chef Barry Owen.

Wojciech Pajdosz has been asked to stay longer at Glenmoriston Town House in Inverness.

James Finlayson who we dealt with at The Scores Hotel has also joined CIS and is at The Old manor Hotel.

Sean Angus who stays in Stornoway is at The Harris Hotel

There are a few chefs just starting jobs in the next day or so, I hope you have a safe journey and settle in to the new relief job well.
