We have managed to maintain the amount of relief chefs out work at 39. We have managed to get 7 jobs confirmed.
Dribs and drabs of chefs becoming available some who are well known to us and some who are new.
If you are a chef who is well known to us and has availability, please get in touch even if it is just a few days it may be really helpful to give another chef a few days off.
I will be off Friday and Monday but Michael will be in 10am to 12 noon and 2pm to 4pm.
Here are a few we have out working
Gordon Murphy is at The Black Bull in Lowick and has been offered the permanent Head Chef job.
Marc Taylor finished at Nevis Bank Inn, he travelled to do a little wild camping and popped his head in at The Kinloch Lodge where he has worked on relief and then made his way down to Kelso to work at Ednam House.
Scott MacIntyre finished his stint at Kames Hotel and is now at Fishers Hotel in Pitlochry.
Glyn Musker is back on the circuit and is up in Ballater at The Clachan Grill with head chef Barry Owen.
Wojciech Pajdosz has been asked to stay longer at Glenmoriston Town House in Inverness.
James Finlayson who we dealt with at The Scores Hotel has also joined CIS and is at The Old manor Hotel.
Sean Angus who stays in Stornoway is at The Harris Hotel
There are a few chefs just starting jobs in the next day or so, I hope you have a safe journey and settle in to the new relief job well.

Here are a few new chefs we have out working for us on relief
Donald Morrison joined us in May and went to The Bridge of Orchy Hotel as Chef de Partie, Donald used to work for the SEC in Glasgow, he finished there on the 18th June to go down to work at Wimbledon and is due to go back to the Bridge of Orchy Hotel.
Philip Robertson went to The Lovat Loch Ness as Chef de Partie for a couple of weeks, he has worked in a variety of establishments mainly short-term contracts.
Adam Kaczalski was kept busy during lock down working in takeaways in Aberdeen until he decided he would like to try out relief work, he was placed at The Old Manor Hotel in early June and is currently still there.
Gillet Libadau was a Head Chef over in Berwick upon Tweed for many years, he took on the Relief Sous Chef role at Balcary Bay Hotel on the 3rd June and is currently still working away.
Lee Robertson went over to help Yan at The Sea Salt Bistro in Islay and was extended, Lee was offered a contract over in Norway which he will start late July / early Aug.
Gary Tedford took up his role as relief Chef de Partie at The Loch Melfort Hotel and is getting on excellent and has been extended.
Robert McHugh worked a 4 week stint at The Duisdale Hotel (with excellent feedback) and has now taken a permanent position close to home.
Mike Struthers who we dealt with for many years as head chef at Tilmouth Park, he is currently at The Old Manor Hotel where he finishes on Friday then is off to help a friend in need.
Grant MacPherson also known to us from years ago is at Mhor 84 as Relief Head Chef and is 2 weeks into his 4 week stint.
Martin Ross is in Skye at The Isle Ornsay Hotel (we look forward to more pictures and updates of Life on Skye)

We are currently sitting at 38 relief chefs out that we are still charging for there are still chefs out working and committed to the end of the season.
We have 9 jobs confirmed so far for the week.
Dave McConnachie who has worked in many places via CIS has settled back in at The Seafield Arms in Cullen where he has taken a permanent job, Thank Dave 😊
Leon Edgson got his 1st relief job after lockdown at The Ballachulish Hotel and has taken the permanent head chef job there.
Bobby Ainsworth also on his first relief job after lockdown is staying to the end of the season at The Royal Golf Hotel in Dornoch.
Kirsty Hamilton has extended her time at the Creagan Inn in Appin.
Kai Stutzkeitz and Ollie Rankin have committed to the season at The Scores Hotel in St Andrews.
We have seen a few of our longstanding relief chefs coming back after taking other employment through the tough times and are booked and ready to start there new relief positions in the coming weeks.

Can hardly believe we are now into July!!
We have 42 relief chefs out working in Scotland and North England.
We are still keen to see if there are chefs with any availability for relief work, If you would like to try relief then this is a great opportunity to go and work in different establishments all over Scotland/North England. Meet new people and sometime make great friends. A good chance to have the flexibility of working for example 4 weeks on 1 week off or if you just want to work there are plenty jobs available that you could be kept busy right through to end October / early November then take some well deserved time off in the Winter months.
